11-year-old boy trampled to death by elephant

An 11-year-old boy was trampled to death today by a wild elephant in Ramanagara district.
The incident took place at Doddamaranahalli near Magadi taluk of the district, police said.
Police and forest officials have reached the spot and are trying to drive back the elephant to the nearby Savandurga forest area, they said.
