Twelve people were injured when their private passenger bus rammed into a standing truck from behind today morning on Jaipur-Kota national highway near Ramganjbalaji village in Sadar police station area of the city, SHO Sadar police station Anis Ahemmad said.
Three of the injured are in critical state and have been referred to Maharao Bheem Singh hospital in Kota while the rest are undergoing treatment at a district government hospital, he said.
The bus was travelling from Sikar to Kota and the injured belong to different places in the state, police said.
A case of negligent driving would be lodged against drivers of both the passenger bus and truck as the truck driver had wrongly parked his vehicle on the national highway roadside, Ahemmad said.
The injured include a woman and a jawan, he added.
