12 IPS officers shuffled in Punjab

In a major reshuffle in the police department, the Punjab government today transferred 12 IPS officers, including seven IGPs, with immediate effect.
SSPs of five districts -- Mohali, Khanna, Batala, Ropar and Hoshiarpur -- were also shifted, an official spokesman said.
Besides, a Punjab Police Service (PPS) cadre officer was transferred by the state government, he said.
Vibhu Raj has been made IGP, Vigilance, Balbir Kumar Bawa IGP, Election Cell, G Nageswara Rao IGP, Crime, R P S Brar IGP, Traffic, Gurpreet Kaur Deo IGP, NRI and women wing, Khubi Ram IGP, Security, and Lakshmee Kant Yadav IGP, Training-cum-Additional Director Punjab Police Academy, Phillaur.
A K Mittal goes as DIG,Border Range Amritsar, Harjinder Singh as SSP Batala, Harcharan Singh Bhullar as SSP Khanna, Gurpreet Singh Toor as SSP Ropar, Sushil Kumar (PPS) as SSP Hoshiarpur and Gursharan Singh Sandhu as SSP Mohali, the spokesman said.
