More than 50 workers were inside the factory in Folong Village, Wenling City when the building collapsed yesterday, state-run Xinhua news agency reported today.
Thirty-three people suffered injuries, four of them serious, it said. Nine others escaped and two were listed missing.
Nine persons died in the hospital, while three bodies were retrieved from the ruins today, the report said.
Local authorities have dispatched 53 firefighting trucks, 302 rescuers and five sniffer dogs.
