The accused has been arrested after a case was registered against him under POCSO Act and section 376 of IPC, they said.
The victim was sent to Delhi to stay with the accused so that she can study. She lived with him in a rented accommodation in Munirka Village area and studied in Class eight, they said.
According to the victim's statement, the accused had been raping her since the last couple of months. His wife, who is the elder sister of the victim, lives in Uttar Pradesh with her in-laws.
"On questioning, the girl broke down and revealed her ordeal to police. A medical examination also confirmed rape although no injury was found on her body. Her statement was recorded in the presence of a councilor from an NGO.
"A case was registered and the accused was arrested. The family has also been informed and they are yet to reach the city," said a police official.
