The MeT department has forecast a decrease in rainfall from today onwards which may lead to lowering of water levels in the rivers.
"Though widespread rains from across Uttarakhand were reported this morning, they were moderate at most places and heavy only at a few, mostly in Dehradun, Haridwar, Tehri, Almora and Nainital districts.
There will be further decrease in rainfall from today onwards with a drop in both intensity and distribution," said MeT Director Vikram Singh, adding that there was no 'heavy rain' warning for the state today or the next 3-4 days.

It took NDRF and SDRF personnel four hours to recover the body from the river.
