The incident occurred when locals had assembled for Goverdhan puja in Baben village in Kumher area, Bharatpur collector Neeraj K Pawan told PTI.
"During the puja, some firecrackers accidently exploded in which 16 people received burn injuries. One child and another person were rushed to SMS hospital in Jaipur for treatment," he said.
"The matter is being investigated to ascertain further facts," SP Sameer Kumar Singh said.
