At least 16 people,
including 11 girls, were injured today in two separate blasts in the restive Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province of Pakistan.
The first blast occurred in the northwestern town of Bannu opposite a cloth shop, located near a local girls school.
Around 14 people including four men and 11 primary school girls were injured.
The bomb went off at the end of the school day as children walked into a street lined with fabric shops.
There was no immediate claim of responsibility but militants frequently attack girls' schools - usually when the buildings are empty in the evening or during the holidays.
The police have taken control of the area.
The injured were taken to a nearby hospital in Bannu.
The second blast reportedly occurred inside a NATO container near Karkhano market in Jamrud.
The explosion left two people injured.
