16 pilgrims injured in road mishap

Sixteen pilgrims were injured when the tractor trolley in which they were travelling overturned in Baberu area, police said here today.
The incident occurred late last evening when the tractor trolley, carrying around 50 pilgrims, overturned in a bid to save a motorcyclist in Patwan village.
Police said that the injured were admitted to a community health centre, from where eight seriously injured were referred to the district hospital.
The pilgrims were going to Chitrakoot for 'deepdaan' on the occasion of Diwali, police added.
