Eighteen people including four children have been killed in western Nepal in floods and landslides triggered by incessant rain over the past few days.

Those killed include two girls and two boys aged below six.
Similarly, massive floods in the Mahakali river has claimed six lives in Achham and Baitadi districts of western Nepal since yesterday.
A mother and her daughter were killed when their house collapsed at Kuntibandali village of Achham district this morning, the police said.
In another incident, four people died when a house collapsed at Siddheshwor village of Baitadi district last night.
Dozens of families have been displaced in the district as water level rose in the Seti River.
Kailali district suffered disruption of electricity service after landslides swept away transformers and 10 electric poles of Potara-based power house.
Meanwhile, a meeting of Central Natural Disaster Rescue Committee today made a number of decisions to mitigate the effect of heavy rainfall in far-west and western Nepal.
The committee meeting headed by Home Minister Madhav Prasad Ghimire directed the concerned ministries and bodies to run their services and works with high priority.
The committee also directed the security agencies to make the ongoing search and rescue works more effective.
The government has also decided to make arrangements for helicopters and extra support from all security bodies.
The committee has decided to allocate Rs 500,000 each for rescue operations in Darchula and Kanchapur districts of western Nepal that have been affected by massive floods in the Mahakali river.
Medicines and other relief material will also be dispatched to Darchula district via helicopter.
