2 arrested for selling elephant tusks

Two persons were arrested for allegedly selling elephant tusks in Jalpaiguri district, a officials said today.
The Forest Department officials visited the Gajoldoba area yesterday night and found that the two accused were trying to sell elephants tusks for Rs two lakh, Baikunthapur Forest Division Ranger, Sanjay Dutta, said.
The tusks were seized by the officials, Dutta said, adding that the further interrogation is underway.
