2 engineers, accountant arrested for taking bribe

Assistant engineer Natwar Lal, junior engineer Magan Lal and accountant Sanjay, all posted in Kushalgarh Panchayat samiti in the district, were held for taking a bribe of Rs 35,000, police said.

They had demanded the money from Harish Patidar, a Gram Sevak, for clearing pending bills of his Gram Panchayat, IG ACB Umesh Mishra said here.

After verification of the complaint a trap was laid by a team of Anti-Corruption Bureau and the trio were nabbed, Mishra said.

Meanwhile, in a similar case, an SHO of Anantpur Kalu police station in Pali district was arrested while he was allegedly accepting Rs 5,000 to close a probe in a case of fraud.
