2 Irrigation dept officials killed, 2 injured in road accident

Two officials of the Irrigation department were killed and two others got injured in a head on collision between a tanker and a car near Gausana village under Jamuna Paar police station.
The incident occurred yesterday in which an engineer and an assistant engineer posted at Irrigation department office, Khurja, were killed, police said today.
The two injured are the draftsman and the cashier from the same office.
The officials were travelling in the car to Aligarh for an official work when an oncoming tanker hit them, police said.
"The impact was so massive that the victims could be taken out only after cutting the window of the car," police said.

The police have taken custody of the tanker but the driver fled from the scene.

The injured have been rushed to S N Medical college Agra for better treatment.

Meanwhile, all the injured were admitted to six different hospitals including one from Mumbai, police said.
A case has been lodged at Panvel police station in this regard and investigations are underway, they added.
