The government roadways bus of Mahoba depot was travelling from Bidhnu to Ghatampur city yesterday when it collided with a truck laden with bricks near Ramaipur bridge and lost balance, a police spokesperson said.
"The collision resulted in the bricks breaking the windshield of the bus, impaling two passengers in their chests," he said adding that one of them died on spot while the other died in a hospital.
While Vipin (25), a resident of Bidhnu died in the hospital, Krishna Kumar Gupta (60), who died on spot was identified as a resident of Hamirpur, police said.
Police are investigating the matter and the bodies of the deceased have been sent for post-mortem, police said, adding that search is on for the driver of the tractor.
