Chandrashekhar and his mother were killed by his brother-in-law, Dharmendra, along with his associates, who later fled the house with cash and valuables last night, police said.
The trio was caught when police on patrol duty noticed them quarelling about how to split the booty, they said.
Besides cash, jewellery and mobile phones were recovered from their possession, they said.
