Sri Lanka Customs held the duo at the Colombo International airport who were hiding the yellow metal in their rectums worth nearly USD 100,000.
They were arrested just before they boarded a flight to Mumbai, Customs official Leslie Gamini told reporters.
They told officials that they were to receive Rs 10,000 for each courier run to India.
"Each man had 10 gold biscuits weighing 100 grams inside his rectum," Gamini said. "They were easily spotted because they appeared to be in pain and could not walk properly."
On Monday some seven Indian-bound passengers were arrested when X-rays showed "metal objects" in their stomachs.
"They were six Indians and one Sri Lankan," Gamini said.
Two of them have passed four pieces of gold after being given laxatives, others are still under observation.
