The incident took place last evening at Oddiso Andeigoda village under Kuakhia police station limits when the two women were collecting jute thread cover of an object little knowing it was a live bomb.
The duo, identified as Kalpana Malik (49), wife of Kathia Malik and Kalpana Malik (40), wife of Sarat Malik were taken to the local government hospital at Singhapur which referred them to the district headquarters hospital, police said.
