The accused identified as Shafiq Ahmed, who ran a coaching institute for spoken English in Khoda area, has been arrested following a complaint filed by the girl, police said, adding a case has been registered in this connection.
"The girl told police that she took admission to English speaking course at Ahmed's coaching centre in November last. The accused asked her to come to his house once where he alleged raped her and also made a video clip of the act on his phone," a senior police officer said.
"The matter came to light this morning when the girl narrated her ordeal to her mother, who later informed the police about the incident," the officer said.
The medical examination of the girl has been conducted and its report is awaited, he added.
