24 injured in bus-truck collision

Twenty-four people were injured, 10 of them seriously, when a truck and a state roadways bus collided in Sajeti rural area here, police said.
The incident occurred when the bus which was on its way to Kanpur from Mahoba collided with the truck from Hamirpur in Sajeti area near Hamirpur border, SP Rural Surendra Tiwari said.
On receiving information, police reached the site of the accident and sent the injured, including driver of the bus, to a hospital after rescuing them from the wreckage, the SP said.
Tiwari said the jam on the road was cleared after a hour when the wreckage of the vehicles was moved to the side of the road and added that investigations are underway in the case.
