28 inmates to be shifted from Muzaffarnagar jail

The authorities will shift 28 undertrials from the district jail here to different facilities after mobile phones were seized from inmates who were found be to allegedly involved in criminal activities from inside the jail premises, an official said.
"The inmates were found involved in criminal activities from the jail here yesterday," according to district jail superintendent Rakesh Singh.
After seizure of mobile phones from the Muzaffarnagar prison, the the jailer and deputy jailer were suspended by the state administration recently, he said.
The inmates to be shifted include notorious criminal Vinod Bawla. He will be shifted to to Badaun jail, Singh said.

Among others, Vinit alias Boby and Margoob Shadab Qureshi would be shifted to Bareilly, Ujjwal Tyagi to Pilibhit, Ashish to Shahjahanpur and Javed to Badaun district jail, he added.
