3 children among four killed in bike-lorry collision

Four members of a family, including three children, died when the two-wheeler they were travelling and a lorry collided at a village in the district, police said today.
The mishap occurred at Thoppur Valaivu near Kachirappalayam when the victims were returning from a temple festival around midnight yesterday, they said.
Sakthivel riding the two-wheeler, his daughter, son and niece, all three pillion riders, were killed on the spot.
The driver of the haystack-ladden lorry had been arrested, police said adding further investigation was on.
