The ministry forwarded to the central probe agency a complaint it had received from the Delhi-based Global Wellness Foundation, relating to the Indian Farmers' Fertiliser Cooperative Limited (IFFCO), on November 21, 2017, Minister of State in the PMO Jitendra Singh informed the Lower House of Parliament in a written reply.
Two complaints, related to the Krishak Bharati Cooperative Ltd (KRIBHCO), were also forwarded to the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) by the ministry on February 12, he added.
He added that no definite time-frame could be indicated for the completion of investigation in these matters as the cases involved a scrutiny of voluminous documents, obtaining the opinion of forensic experts and questioning of witnesses and suspects.
