3 dead, 17 test positive for swine flu in Himachal

Three more persons have tested positive for swine flu in Himachal Pradesh today taking the total number of people infected by the disease to 17 in the state.
Three persons have died due to the disease in the state so far.
One person each in Kullu, Kangra and Shimla districts have tested positive for the swine flu today.
As many as 73 blood samples of suspected swine flu patients had been tested so far and 20 of them were found positive, state surveillance officer Dr Rajesh Guleri said.
The state government has provided swine flu test facility at government-run IGMC at Shimla and Dr R P Medical College at Tanda (Kangra) and efforts are being made to give the test report in three to six hours.
Help lines have been provided at the state headquarters and district headquarters to keep vigil on the situation and sufficient quantity of Tamiflu tablets and 30 mg and masks N-95 have been supplied to every health block.
