Meanwhile, BJP and CPI(M) called a 12-hour long bandh in the area tomorrow.
"Situation in the area is normal and police patrolling is on. We have arrested three persons in connection with yesterday's incident," officer-in-charge of Sandeshkhali police station Surinder Singh said.
Several BJP and CPI(M) supporters and a few TMC workers were injured in yesterday's clash in Halderbheri area. Five persons with bullet injuries were rushed to a local hospital for treatment. Later, many of them were shifted to a hospital in Kolkata for further treatment.
Earlier in the day, the BJP state unit requested Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh to send a central team led by Union Minister of State for Home Kiren Rijiju to to review the law and order situation in Bengal.
