A group of seven persons, including the driver, were on their way from Deoghar in Jharkhand to Machhlandpur in North 24 Parganas district of West Bengal.
The car was in high speed and as a tyre of its front wheels burst, it overturned killing three persons on the spot, the sources said.
The other four were admitted to the Burdwan Medical College Hospital while the condition of the driver was serious.
