The police received information that the accused were planning to allegedly commit robbery near village Harbanspura, Ludhiana Range DIG Gurinder Singh Dhillon said.
Following a tip off, the police raided the spot and recovered a .32 bore pistol with 6 cartridges, a .32 bore pistol with 7 cartridges, a .38 bore revolver with 10 cartridges.
The arrested persons were identified as Sukhdeep Singh, Kuldeep Singh and Harminder Singh. All were the residents of New Ranjitpura, Chehreta of district Amritsar, he said.
The members of gang were involved in nine other incidents of crime in Mohali, Ludhiana, Phagwara, Jalandhar, Rajpura, Chadingarh since July 2014, Dhillon said.
The gang members was also involved in other criminal activities before July 2014, he said.
