"In a joint operation with the intelligence agencies, we raided a house yesterday in one of the Lahore's populated residential areas and arrested three members of banned Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan and al-Qaeda (Lahore chapter)" said an official of the Counter Terrorism Department (CTD), Lahore.
They have been identified as Yasir, Mahboob Hussain and Khurram Shahzad.
The official said the suspects were given the task to plant explosive material at three sites in Lahore - the railway station, the city's bus terminal and the shrine of Baba Haider Sain near Minto Park.
The suspects have been shifted to an undisclosed location for interrogation.
