Mahesh, Saravanan and Anand, of Kurunthamalai, peeped into the car parked on the roadside, when a person shot at them from inside the car, police said today.
Mahesh sustained bullet injury on neck, Saravanan on hip and Anand on his hand, an officer said, adding that they were rushed to a hospital in Mettupalayam from where they were shifted to a private hospital in Coimbatore.
Hearing the gun shot, villagers rushed to the spot and managed to nab three persons inside the car, including a woman, while the police seized a pistol, he said.
