4 constables suspended over undue favours to prisoner

Four police constables have been suspended for allegedly providing undue facilities to a prisoner in a jail here, police said today.
An enquiry team formed by SSP Ajay Shanker Roy found that the policemen were providing undue food and lodging facilities to an influential businessman Shailendra Agrawal, an accused in a forgery case, in Etah district jail, following which they were suspended yesterday, police said.
The accused constables have been identified as Ajay Pal Singh, Awnish Kumar, Mukesh Chandra and Pradeep Kumar.
