The passengers in the SUV were returning from a wedding last night when their car collided with a husk-laden truck and overturned into a roadside ditch in Dhammaur police station area, they said.
"Twelve women were trapped in the vehicle and were helped out and rushed to the district hospital where four of them later succumbed to injuries," a police official said.
The deceased have been identified as Komal Singh (26), Priya Singh (32), Rimjhim (18) and Dolly Singh (19).
