42 pvt schools in Kanpur issued notices for hiking fees

As many as 42 private schools in the city were issued notices by the district administration for arbitrarily hiking its fees.
District Magistrate Roshan Jacob has asked the authorities of these schools to submit in seven days their reasons for repeatedly increasing the fees for past several years, flouting the state government norms.
"Every year we receive complaints about these schools arbitrarily hiking their fees. They also charge a lot for dresses, books and school buses. Moreover, they impose these charges without any notice," the DM said.
