5 carcasses of peacocks found in Bhilwara

Five carcasses of peacocks were today found in Bhilwara, taking the toll of the Country's national bird to 31 in the last two months in Ajmer and Bhilwara districts.
Two cases have been lodged against unknown persons in this connection by environment activist Babulal Jaju, police said.
"Total 26 carcasses were found in Ajmer in the last two months and 5 were found today in Bhilwara which is a serious crime and the matter to be investigated," Jaju said.
Bhilwara Police said a probe was on into the matter.
