The two minors -- Riya Barman and Piyas Barman, both aged 10-- succumbed to their injuries in separate hospitals in Kathmandu.
Three others who died in the mishap were identified as Ghanshyam Prasad (65), Deviyanti Devi (63), and Basantosh Teda (60). All the five deceased were from Ranchi in Jharkhand.
The accident took place when the vehicle they were travelling in skidded off the road and fell into a 200-metre deep gorge in Kulekhani village of Makwanpur district yesterday.
There were seven people in the jeep. Two more children -- 10-year-old Aryan Barman and Rishi Barman (12) -- are being treated at a hospital in Kathmandu.
The two elderly people were grandparents of the children, according to hospital sources.
The parents of the children have reached Kathmandu, a hospital staff told PTI.
