52,000 labourers' wages pending in Rajasthan: Govt

Rajasthan government today told the House that there was not only shortage of employees in the Labor Department but the wages of 52,000 labourers were still pending in various government-run official schemes.
On a starred question of Congress MLA Govind Singh Dotasar, Minister of State for Labor Surendra Pal Singh said there were 5.25 lakh registered labourers in the government-run schemes, out of which 52,000 cases of labourers were pending for payments.
Dotasar alleged that despite the government having funds of Rs 800 crore, the wages of 52,000 labourers were not paid, and in many districts the officers and inspectors' post were lying vacant.

Two-third posts of senior and inspector level were lying vacant, the MoS said, adding that out of 85 posts of senior officers only 35 were present, and 37 inspectors' post out of 196 were filled up.
He said that 151 posts of officers would be recruited through Rajasthan Public Service Commission (RPSC) in the near future.
Inspectors from Rajasthan Financial Corporation were deployed on deputation.

During Zero Hour, Home Minister G C Kataria told the House that Police department had succeeded in solving about 90 per cent crime cases in the last one year, and the cops always tried to arrest culprits who were involved in loot and dacoity.

BJP MLAs Ghanshyam Mahar, Bhajanlal Jatav and Vijay Bansal raised the issue that loot incidents were rising in Alwar district specially in Mandawar and Alwar city.
Kataria assured that if required, a team of cops would be sent to Mandwar to solve the loot and dacoity incidents.
