Police have seized nearly 590 cartons of illicit liquor worth Rs 36 lakh from a truck and arrested three people in this connection in Rajasthan's Pali district, an official said today.
The action was taken after the police intercepted the truck at a check post on NH-162 late last night. A total of 590 cartons of Punjab-made liquor were being transported to Gujarat. The truck and a car escorting it were seized, SP Pali Deepak Bhargav said.
The accused were identified as Mahaveer Bishnoi (25), Bhanwarlal Bishnoi (35) and truck driver Manohar Singh (29).
