The collection of taxes registered last year stood at Rs 14 crore, he said in an official release during a review of the performance of Commercial Taxes department here.
According to him, the 4,492 bogus dealers were identified for the cancellation of registration and 1,780 unregistered dealers were identified for registration.
"Irregularities in stock transfer of mobile phones and edible oil involving tax of Rs 36 crore were also identified", the release said.
"The Minister instructed the Territorial and Enforcement Wing of Commercial Taxes department to take co-ordinated and continuous action on bill traders and stringent action on beneficiary dealers availing bogus input tax credit from bill traders so as to safeguard the revenue", the release added.
