Two bootleggers have been arrested and 22 cartons of liquor bottles have been seized from them in Dankaur area, police said today.
Police said the duo, identified as Arvind and Amit, were arrested last night when they were carrying the liquor.
District Excise Officer Kuldeep Yadav has appealed to the people not to buy smuggled liquor as it may be adulterated and can prove fatal for them.
Due to higher price of liquor in Uttar Pradesh as compared to Haryana, bootleggers smuggle liquor bottles from the neighbouring state, officials said.
