Additional District and Sessions Judge Mayank Chouhan held the six guilty of attacking a police team and killing a police constable to free a family member Manoj, who is among the convicts, from their custody, assistant district government counsel Sitaram Arya said.
The court is yet to pronounce the quantum of sentence.
The convicts were identified as Manoj, his father Baljit, his brother Naresh, his mother Mukhi, his sister-in-law Firango and one relative Subhash.
They were convicted under 302 (murder), sections 147 (punishment for rioting), 148 (rioting, armed with deadly weapon), 353 (assault or criminal force to deter public servant from discharge of his duty), 332 (voluntarily causing hurt to deter public servant from his duty), 504 (intentional insult with intent to provoke breach of the peace) and 506 (punishment for criminal intimidation) of the IPC, he said.
