The incident took place about a month ago at Chintaguntaplem Weavers Society office premises here where the girl, daughter of a society office bearer, was allegedly raped by 60-year-old clerk P Nageswara Rao, Circle Inspector K Saiprasad said.
The girl was admitted to a hospital two days back due to some illness where the doctors found out that she was raped.
Subsequently, she narrated the incident to her parents and a complaint was lodged at Inaguduru Police Station yesterday, the officer said.
A case has been registered under relevant IPC sections against the accused, who is at large, added police.
