Rani, who is niece of Kapoor, and others joined Congress at Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister Virbhadra Singh's rally at Dari in Dharamshala.
Welcoming them into the party, Singh asked them to spread the developmental work done by the Congress government among the masses, and strengthen the constituency represented by Urban Development Minister Sudhir Sharma so that Dharamshala could be brought among the top hill cities of the country.
Earlier, about a week ago, as many as 55 BJP workers of Dharamshala assembly constituency had joined Congress in the presence of Sharma, a Congress spokesperson said.
