According to the FIR, several people led by Musharraf Mazari, a brother of PML-N legislator Atif Khan, set a shop belonging to Ghulam Farid on fire in Dera Ghazi Khan district, 400 km from Lahore.
During the incident, a Quran was also allegedly burnt.
Mazari had acted against Farid after the latter disobeyed his instructions regarding the arrangement of a marriage in the area, officials said.
The attackers allegedly beat up some women.
Police registered the case against eight persons, including Mazari and others belonging to his clan though no arrest has been made so far.
