A clash broke out between two groups in Malakhpur village here on Thursday over playing of songs by DJ, resulting in injuries to eight people, police said.
The incident took place when one of the groups requested for not playing the songs to facilitate morning prayers, they said.
Though playing of songs was stopped, one person was beaten up leading to clashes between the groups, SHO Shashimauli Pandey said.
Eight people, including a woman, were injured in the clashes, he said.
Five persons have been taken into custody in this regard, the official said, adding the situation is under control.
Additional force has been deployed as a precautionary measure in the village, police added.
