"Delhi Traffic Police facilitated in providing a green corridor for movement of an ambulance yesterday. It took only eight minutes to travel from Max Hospital Saket to AIIMS Trauma Center via Press Enclave Road, Aurobindo Marg and Ring Road. Delhi Traffic Police is committed to provide help for this humanitarian cause," said Special Commissioner (Traffic) Muktesh Chander.
"We had received information from MAX Hospital about a patient being declared brain dead there and his family were wiling to donate his organs. So, in association with Delhi Traffic Police and Max Hospital authorities a green corridor was created to bring the donor. However, during evaluation at AIIMS was found unsuitable for organ and tissues donation," said a senior AIIMS doctor.
