8 persons injured in accident on Jammu-Srinagar highway

Eight persons, including two pilgrims, were injured today when a taxi skidded off the Jammu-Srinagar highway and fell into a ditch in Ramban district, police said.
The mishap, involving an Innova taxi on its way to Srinagar from Jammu, took place near Sherbibi belt of Banihal tehsil this afternoon, they said.
All the injured, two of whom are serious, were first taken to a hospital here, but later shifted to a Srinagar hospital.
The injured include a man and his daughter who were on their way to Khirbawani Mela, police said.
