An eight year old girl, suffering from some 'mysterious fever', suspected to be dengue, died at the Government hospital here today.
The girl, hailing from Karumathampatti on the outskirts, was suffering from the fever for the last two days and brought and admitted to the Government Hospital here.
Suspecting that the girl was suffering from dengue, doctors attended to the patient, hospital authorities said.
However, without responding to the treatment, she died this morning, they said.
Two children -- a boy and a girl -- had died of similar type of fever during the last fortnight in the hospital.
