"The incident took place when the girl was returning from school. The suspect who followed her is said to have covered her face with a cloth from behind and molested her after taking her to nearby location," Additional Commissioner of Police (Law and Order) Kamal Pant told PTI.
He said the incident came to light when the girl informed her aunt after returning home. The aunt told the girl's parents, the ACP said.
Pant said police are yet get any information on the identity of the accused. "We have not been able to talk to the girl as she is still recovering in the hospital... Parents too don't have much information," he said.
