The deceased have been identified as Murari Prasad Singh and his two daughters Nancy Kumari and Mansi Kumari, Ahiyapur police station, station house officer (SHO) Vijay Kumar said.
The incident occurred near RPS school in Bhikhanpur locality when Singh was going to drop his two minor daughters to school on his bike when they were hit by a speeding truck, killing two of them on the spot, the SHO said.
Local people blocked the Muzaffarpur-Sitamarhi National Highway (NH) 77 for few hours and burnt tyres in protest against the incident. Later, officials of district administration got the blockade lifted after persuading them.
