"CAG in its latest March 2015 report (for the last 10 years) has pointed out 5,613 cases of financial irregularities to the tune of Rs 36,000 crore in various departments. But the government has not looked into it yet," AAP state convener Alok Agarwal said.
Among other things, the report points out irregularities of Rs 9,765 crore and Rs 9,722 crore in the Public Works Department (PWD) and the water resources department, respectively, he said in a release.
The government had not done this, and it showed that it did not have the courage to respond to the CAG, he said, demanding a probe by a retired high court judge.
