AAP to field Santosh Koli's brother from Seemapuri

Arvind Kejriwal-led Aam Aadmi Party today announced that the brother of Santosh Koli, party candidate who was fatally injured in a road accident, will contest in her place from Seemapuri Assembly seat.
It also released a list of 10 probable candidates for Rohini and Devli reserved assembly seats in Delhi which includes a fruit seller, Assistant Manager of an MNC, former BJP and Shiv Sena members, a teacher and human right activists.
The party said that Dharmendra Singh Koli, brother of 28-year-old Santosh Koli, will now be its candidate from Seemapuri Assembly constituency.
Santosh, who was declared as candidate from Seemapuri, succumbed to her injuries on August 7 at a Gurgaon hospital after battling for life for 37 days following a road accident. AAP had alleged foul play in the incident.

Koli had sustained severe brain injury when a car hit her motorbike from behind in Kaushambi area of Indirapuram locality when she, along with a party colleague Kuldeep, was going to party office on June 30.
For Devli (reserved) seat, party has shortlisted Deepak Jaiswal, Mahesh - a fruit seller, Prakash -- an assistant manager with an MNC, and Sher Singh a social activist.

While of Rohini, in South West Delhi, it has come up with the names of former vice president of Delhi Shiv Sena unit Ashwini Jain, Anita Maini - a teacher and Rajesh Garg Rohiniwale, an advocate whose his wife had contested for Municipal Corporation of Delhi elections on Congress ticket.

Two other candidates were Subhah Chandra Garg, a businessman who was earlier associated with the BJP, while Vivek Srivastava is an human rights activist.
The party has asked the people to give their verdict about them within seven days so that it could move ahead with final selection procedure.
AAP has declared 42 candidates for the upcoming elections to the 70-member Delhi Assembly.
