"On the issue of MOI, Goa AAP leaders have failed to convey to their central leadership (about) the need of Goans. Then what dialogue (to frame the manifesto) are they talking about?Just to fool the people?" Goa Congress spokesperson Trajano D'Mello told reporters.
On remarks by Delhi deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia, who visited Goa recently, that parents should be educated on MOI issue, D'Mello said, "By saying this, Sisodia has hurled an insult to Goan parents who are perfectly capable of deciding what will benefit their children."
BBSM is also opposing grants to the English-medium schools.
Referring to recent controversies surrounding AAP, D'Mello said, "behaviour of AAP MLAs and its leaders in Punjab that has come before all indicate that selection of candidates was not proper. Recent sex tape that surfaced has nailed the character of the minister (Sandip Kumar)."
AAP, led by its national convener and Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, is betting big on poll-bound Goa currently ruled by the BJP in coalition with the Maharashtrawadi Gomantak Party (MGP).
